My Hope is Found

You wanted it. You waited for it....and actually, you are still waiting for it, BUT your patience will soon be rewarded, and oh, what a reward it is!

Book Rating: Up All Night'er

MY HOPE IS FOUND is SOOOOOO-ho-ho-ho good! Literally, I read it in one sitting. I was up until the wee hours of the morning, but it was way worth it.

If you have read the first two books then you know about the delicious drama, romance and intrigue that Joanne has so craftily woven and you are simply gagging to know the rest! This book delivers on every account. Though I must say, I could have done with another kiss or two and especially a epilogue at the end, but that's just me.
*wink*

In book two a new character was introduced--Toby. (I can hear you swooning from here! He's so dreamy, I know.) After the heartache that Lonnie has endured, she begins to think he might be the one to heal her heart--if only she could forget Gideon. Raise your hand if you are on "team Toby". OK, now raise your hand if you are on team Gideon. LOL Sweet! Seems like its about 50/50! *teehee* The tensions mount in book three and I simply cannot give anything away, because I know you will want to find out for yourself who she chooses....

I think Joanne did a great job of showing the growth of the characters. At the beginning of book one I really could feel Lonnie's innocence, immaturity (as in young), and lack of self confidence. And now, she's much wiser and has grown so much. This goes for all the characters. I think that was one of my favorite things about this story. I got so attached to these characters, its hard to say good-bye to them.

Well, I could go on, but I imagine it will just make you all the more impatient so I'll be quiet for now. BUT, this is not the last you will hear about this book!!! We've got some really fun things coming up as the release gets closer, so I'll keep you posted! This book releases Oct 15, by the way. So if you want, you can make a paper chain to help you count down the days.

Happy reading! (or in this case...happy waiting... LOL Don't hate me. *wink*)

Though My Heart is Torn

Oh.

My.

STARS!!

Amazing.

Book Rating: Best of the Best

For those of you who have read BE STILL MY SOUL, your anguished wait for the second book in the series is over...and your even more agonizing wait for the third book is about to begin!

The romantic tension in this book will have you near to ripping those precious hairs from your even more precious head! Fabulous and heart wrenching at the same time! Curious about the plot? Here's the drama in a nut shell:

Lonnie and Gideon are happily married and enjoying their darling son when they get terrifying news--Gideon is already married. Or so this Cassie Allan claims...

iiiirrrrkkkkk  Say WHAT?!

Yep, you read that right. And boy, oh, boy that is where all the excitement happens. Poor Lonnie! Poor Gideon!! Even poor Cassie!!! You might be tempted to storm your way through this book to satisfy your need to know what happens, but let me caution you. Joanne's writing is so beautiful you will miss out on her lovely style and you won't want to do that, believe me!

Lastly, when you get to the last page, this is what you will do: you'll flip frantically to see if perhaps you have missed some pages; you'll start sweating and might even start mumbling to yourself; your mouth will go dry and your fingers will shake. Why you ask!? Well, you'll just have to read it to find out. *menacing laugh*

I enjoyed every page of this book, and I know you will too!!

This book comes out in April, everyone, so please go get yourself a little 'ol copy when you can!

Happy Reading!

Choices of the Heart

My first Laurie Alice Eakes. Pretty interesting.

Book Rating: Up All Night'er

As I've mentioned before, the good thing about so many authors in this world is that you are guaranteed to find someone you like. That also means you will find some authors who's style isn't really your cup of tea. That was the case for me with Easkes. As talented as she is, it just wasn't for me.

That being said, the story was fun and I can see why a lot of people enjoy her novels. This book, CHOICES OF THE HEART is the third book in her series The Midwives. I haven't read any of the others and seeing how I wasn't thrilled with this one (her style is mostly what I didn't care for) I'm not sure I'll be jumpin' the gun to read the first two.

Esther Cherrett is a midwife leaving a broken life behind her. Little does she know she is trading-in one set of problems for another! The story in itself was interesting and a fun plot, so in that respect, you will likely enjoy it.

As for leading men--this guy is great. Esther is actually caught between two guys and had to decide who she will love! Those stories are fun. *sigh*  Griff is a great, rugged, honest leading man. And the very end was so sweet--I loved it.

The spiritual aspect of the story was strong, for which this novel gets more brownie points. Overall, fun story, good read, just not my style. But you should really give it a try!

Lastly, thank you to Revell for giving me this book in exchange for my honest review!
Available January 2013 at your favorite bookseller from Revell, a division of Baker Publishing Group.
