Baron of Godsmere: The Feud

If I could sing a song about this book it might go something like this. "You make me feel... you make me feel... you make me feel like a natural woman!"
Bayard, you had me at "eyepatch".

Book Rating: Best of the Best

Ladies, if you are a fan of Tamara Leigh then you have absolutely no excuse for not buying this book and reading it immediately. You know how expertly she commands her craft, how she captures you with her eloquent prose and how her characters will come to life from the pages and LIVE in your mind and in your heart. I have read every historical Leigh has written and I can honestly tell you that I LOVE every single one.
Bayard (AKA delicious-as-ever-and-totally-feirce-but-seductively-tender) is a fabulous, wounded and totally perfect hero. He NEEDS to keep his lands, but he must marry to do so. And he does marry. A few times.
Wait, what?
That's where the heroine comes in. Lovely, sweet, and unstoppable Elianor. (Which is such a lovely name I think I might name my next daughter after her.) Determined to keep another from suffering as she did, Elianor takes matters into her own hands and changes the course of their lives in a way she never imagined.
I HIGHLY recommend this book for anyone who is a fan of historical romance. You won't be able to put it down! Congratulations, Tamara, on another completely fabulous novel!!!!

  1. Oh, Amber! You make me feel...you make me feel...you make me feel like a happy writer :) Thank you so much for this funny, enthusiastic, and inspiring review. As for Elianor, I think it's the most beautiful version of Eleanor--especially "Elianor of four notes, not three" :) Blessings!

    1. Tamara, I'm feeling remiss that I did not include the deeper natures of this book. Yes, it has incredible romance and flawless characters, but the messages and healing that comes from this book is powerful and personal. Thank you for blessing us all by sharing your gift. Blessings to you always!

Somebody could have stolen my chocolates and I probably wouldn't even have noticed!! I must return to Castle Adderstone . . . I shall come up for air later.....much later!!

  3. You know you're into a book when you look at your husband and imagine him with an eyepatch. Then the thought occurs to you, "Okaaayyyy, maybe just a pretend one."

Because you're THAT into the story!!!

BOG grabbed me right to the last word. And the scene on the lake? Ohhhh, boy.

Tamara Leigh nailed it, this is her best yet!!!

Shhhh. don't tell Garr I said that.

  4. YES! *fist pump in the air* Another one to get lost in and devour. Ahh, Tamara, please, PLEASE, don't ever stop writing. And Amber, only YOU can turn a book review into an "I WANT IT NOW" rush to the bookstore, pay-whatever-it-takes stampede.

  5. I just came up for a little air . . . . but my oh my oh my . . . what a story - - I'm now in Chapter 31 - - but I have to say I've had 2 "ah-ha" moments in this book - - Chapters 27 and 29 - - you know a book has your full attention when the voice you're hearing isn't that of the writer, but the voice of the Holy Spirit - - and that's what happened for me in Chapters 27 and 29 - - WOW!! Such incredible, powerful words - - when a book makes you step back and take a look at your own life and re-evaluate things from a different spiritual perspective - - NOW that's what I'm talking about!!!! I have to agree - - I love ya Garr - - but this story packs a whole other punch!!! Back to Castle Adderstone . . . .
